Speech and Language Therapy

Speech Therapy: same umbrella as all the other services that P.A.C.E.S. will be offering because it gives a unique approach to not only articulation and phonological issues but also language issues and assisting the child in understanding the world around us. Speech therapy also helps develop pragmatic and social communication behaviors to help the child interact with others in their environment. In addition to targeting speech and language support, the speech therapist will also address feeding and oral motor issues stemming from textual aversions or difficulty eating and swallowing. The speech therapist will also work closely with the other professional disciplines to ensure that the skills they are addressing will carry over to all areas of therapy as well as the home environment.
